On June 19, 2020, in accordance with Bexar County Executive Order NW-10, CPS Energy implemented a COVID-19 Health & Safety Policy to reduce the potential for the spread of COVID-19 in our workplace. Upcoming Road Closures

To maintain the overall health of our infrastructure and utility system, we have to occasionally close roads to perform upgrades, maintenance and replacements.   The road closures below are scheduled but on occasion, we are forced to close roads to make unscheduled repairs to our equipment.

The below schedule and timeline are subject to change.  Thank you for your patience as we work to provide you with safe and reliable electric and gas service.


NEW LAW:  CPS Energy reminds you as of September 2019, the Move Over Slow Down law now includes the requirement to move over or slow down for utility vehicles with flashing lights.  Help keep our crews safe.

  • Time Frame: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Location: SW Loop 410 and Bronco Lane and SW Loop 410 and Barbuda Drive
  • Zip Cod: 78227
  • Scope of Work: CPS Energy Crews will be installing a new neutral wire conductor and transferring the existing primary conductors to a  newly installed pole.
  • Traffic Control:  CPS Energy crews will be utilizing both sides of the highway and access/frontage roads, (4) rolling stops will be conducted to safely remove old conductor and (4) rolling stops will be conducted to safely install new conductor. Law Enforcement Officers in conjunction with Flasher Equipment Co. will provide the necessary traffic control.
    • This outage has been coordinated with System Operations.
    • Message Boards will be in place on 10/12/2020
    • Flasher will be setting up lane closures  
    • 14 Law Officers will direct traffic as needed
    • 12 Crash Truks will be used for rolling stops
    • TxDOT TCP Plan has been approved
